Rest assured that we are protecting your personal information

TrackWeight Systems Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “TrackWeight”, “we”, “us” or “our”) operates a platform that allows users to consult our range of products (collectively, the “products”) and to purchase certain products through our online store at www.trackweight.com (the “platform”).

This privacy policy (the “policy”) describes how and when TrackWeight collects, uses and shares information that we process about you.

Collection and Use of Information


TrackWeight is committed to protecting the personal and confidential information of platform users in accordance with the laws of the Province of Quebec and Canada regarding the protection of personal information. Personal information is information, regardless of form and medium, that relates to an identifiable individual (“personal information”). TrackWeight may ask you to provide personal information at any time you contact us. TrackWeight may share this personal information and use it in accordance with this policy. It can also combine it with other information to offer and improve the platform, our services and our advertising. You are not authorized to use the platform if you do not agree with this policy. Your use of the platform constitutes a tacit acceptance of our policy.

TrackWeight collects, stores and processes personal information that you provide when you access and use the platform, such as when you open an account or request a quote.

Personal information received, stored and processed is used by TrackWeight for various purposes, including but not limited to :

  • allow us to understand the type of products you are interested in and to inform you about our latest products, IT updates and promotions;
  • help us create, develop, operate, deliver and improve the platform and our products, content and advertising;
  • verify your identity, help identify our users and determine the appropriate products to offer them; and
  • for internal purposes, such as verifications, data analysis and research to improve the platform, our products and our relationships with our customers;


We also collect data in a form that does not, on its own, permit direct association with any specific individual. We may receive, store, process, transfer and disclose non-personal information for any purpose, as further described hereunder:

  • information that is automatically recorded by our servers whenever you access or use the platform, regardless of whether or not you are registered with TrackWeight or logged in to your TrackWeight account, including, without limitation, the hardware and software you are using, your IP Address, date/time stamp and clickstream data to further develop the content and our services;
  • the platform, email messages and advertisements may use “cookies” and other technologies such as web beacons. We may also allow our affiliates to use their cookies and other tracking technologies on the platform. Cookies are small data files transferred to your computer’s hard-drive by a website. They keep a record of your preferences making your subsequent visits to the site more efficient. Cookies may store a variety of information, including, the number of times that you access a site, your registration information and the number of times that you view a particular page or other item on the site. The use of cookies is a common practice adopted by most major sites to better serve their clients. Most browsers are designed to accept cookies, but they can be easily modified to block cookies; see your browser’s help files for details on how to block cookies; how to know when you have received cookies and how to disable cookies completely. You should note, however, that without cookies, some of the platform’s functions will not be available, and the user will lose some of the benefits of the platform;
  • and with your explicit consent, we may collect data about how you use the platform in order to help further develop and improve same.

We use the aforementioned information to understand and analyze trends, to administer our platform, to learn about user behaviour on the platform, to improve the platform and our services and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. This information about all of our users or specific groups/categories of users is combined together so that it no longer identifies or refers to any individual in particular (“aggregate Information”). Aggregate information, which is considered nonpersonal information for the purposes of this policy, helps us provide more useful information to our customers and to understand which parts of our platform and products are of most interest. We may share aggregate information with third parties, including, without limitation, advertisers and investors.

If you access the platform through a mobile or other device and you do not want your device to provide us with location-tracking information, you can disable the GPS or other locationtracking functions on your device, provided your device allows you to do this. Please refer to you device manufacturer’s instructions for further details.


Personal Information will only be shared by TrackWeight to provide access to the platform, as well as related advertisement purposes. However, it will not be shared with third parties for their marketing purposes.

At times, we may make certain Personal Information available to affiliates that work with us to provide the Platform or the Services, or that help develop our marketing strategies, as described hereunder.


In accordance with applicable laws, processes or lawsuits and / or requests from the public and national or foreign governmental authorities, TrackWeight may be required to disclose your personal information. We may also disclose your personal information if we conclude that: (i) such disclosure is necessary or appropriate for the purposes of the law; and / or (ii) such disclosure is reasonably necessary to ensure the application of our policies. We may also have to disclose your personal information to a third party, in whole or in part, as part of a corporate reorganization, merger or sale of our business.

You have an important role to play in protecting your personal information. You should never disclose your username, password or other security information about your TrackWeight account to third parties. If we receive instructions after using your username and password, we will assume they are yours.


The platform may contain links to third-party websites, products, and services. Our services may also use or offer products or third parties’ services. Information collected by third parties, including which may include such things as location data or contact details, is governed by their privacy practices. We encourage you to learn about the privacy practices of those third parties.


TrackWeight reserves the right at any time to modify this policy at any time. Such modifications will be effective immediately and incorporated into this policy. Your continued use of the platform following any such changes will be deemed acceptance thereof. When we change the policy in a material way, a notice will be posted on our website or by email along with the updated policy.
